In April 2024, it has been a year and a half since I began my pursuit of an acting career in the Boston theatrical scene. Over that time, I felt much confusion and frustration over where auditions were happening, and when.

I was working as the Education Associate at Boston Playwrights’ Theatre, under Artistic Director Megan Sandberg-Zakian. Speaking to the 30 working actors and directors gathered in the room for their Massachusetts Young Playwrights Project, I realized that the Boston theatrical scene was severely lacking in resources for finding auditions, and it wasn’t just me. After Stage Source’s collapse, great artists were missing great opportunities simply because they did not know where to find them.

It was then I decided to form BAA.

Boston Actor Auditions, or BAA (like a sheep), is now the main resource for Boston actors to find audition opportunities near them. We post auditions from Massachusetts, NH, and other New England opportunities. Theatrical companies, organizations, collectives, and fellow artists can DM the account with audition opportunities, and we reshare them. We post union and non-union auditions.

We now have over 2,400 follows, and counting every day.
